Raffaella Di Tizio
Raffaella Di Tizio is a subject expert in ‘Theories and Practices of Theatre Work’ at Roma Tre University. She holds a PhD in Literary Genres from the University of L'Aquila, and in the 2018/2019 academic year she was a visiting researcher at the Institut für Theaterwissenschaft at the Freie Universität Berlin thanks to a Daad scholarship, working on a project on the relationship between German and Italian theatre during the dictatorships. She has focused primarily on theatre during the Fascist era and the early reception of Brecht in Italy. She edited Gigi Bertoni's book, Il pane degli attori. Trentacinque anni di lavoro col Teatro Due Mondi, Faenza, Teatro Due Mondi, 2016, and in 2018 she published L'opera dello straccione di Vito Pandolfi. Il mito di Brecht nell'Italia fascista, Ariccia (RM), Aracne. She has been contributing to “L'Indice dei Libri del Mese” since 2013 and has been a member of the editorial board of “Teatro e Storia” since 2014.
Francesca Romana Rietti
Francesca Romana Rietti teaches History and Culture of Theatre Spaces at Roma Tre University. She has studied the physical mime of Étienne Decroux and, in particular, his pupil Jean-Louis Barrault (about whom she published the book Jean-Louis Barrault. Artigianato teatrale, Rome, Bulzoni, 2010), theatrical pedagogy and the dramaturgy of the actor. In 2008, together with Mirella Schino and Valentina Tibaldi, she founded the Odin Teatret Archives, with which she still collaborates. In February 2015, part of the original documents preserved at the Odin Teatret Archives were acquired by the Royal Library in Copenhagen <www.db.dk>. From 1996 to 2003, she was part of the international pedagogical project The Bridge of Winds, directed and founded by actress Iben Nagel Rasmussen, and between 2000 and 2004, she was literary consultant to the Danish Teatret Om, with whom she resumed working in 2018, curating archival projects. She has been collaborating with “L'Indice dei Libri del Mese” since 2013 and has been a member of the editorial committee of “Teatro e Storia” since 2014.
